Lets Take This Show on The Road!

Every morning sister Cath has been nagging me about whether or not I had updated by blog and every morning for the past 10 days I have had to say, "no." But then I remembered all of the times that I have nagged her and she listened to me, so it is only right that I give her the same courtesy. I don't know exactly what the problem has been but I guess, in some ways, I have already checked out of "Hotel California", if I ever really checked in. Despite all intentions, there is something about the tenuous ending to this saga that has prevented me from jumping in with both feet. I know, I know!!! I do remember saying sometime near the very beginning, that it wasnt possible to do this, and I was right. LOL Since this blog is supposed to be about St. Kitts and I hadnt really taken the veil off and I was tired of writing about my immediate area and beaches and the south east peninsula, I got writers block. Like a real writer! ha ha. It has also proven to me that someone who can do this on a consistent basis, deserves much more credit than they have been getting!

Oh believe me, the intentions were good...I was going to write about the unique ingenuity of Kittians and their own style of bumper stickers. I was snapping pictures of cars everywhere.
And there are lots more where these came from! I even started writing this one but after I read what was written I was bored and didnt want to foist















it on any one else!

I also wanted to show everybody what "downtown" looks like and I started taking pictures for that one, but I never finished taking them and so that one died on the vine too!

The idea of the absolutely diverse architecture crossed my mind but it seems that I have become totally dependent on the pictorial aspect and I have been so busy (hahaha!) that I only have 3 of those pictures. A beautiful historical Georgian building, a view of The Circus (not a North American circus...an English circus- think Picadilly Circus but waaaaayyyy smaller!) on a soggy day,







and an example of the weird and wonderful that is so St. Kitts! The picture on the right is a close up of the front door...please notice the voodoo warning!












And there is so so much in between these two styles that I think it may of just overwhelmed me!

As you can see, lots of topics ran through my mind in the past 5 weeks and I really did have the best of intentions, but time has run out on this first stage. On Sunday I am going to Canada to get ready to be a grandmother (a subject which definitely deserves a page of its own!) :-)!!! When I come back here on March 16th I will be have at least one and maybe two grandchildren... but you can be sure that I will be sharing that news with lots of pics on here- no writer's block expected on that subject...I will guarantee it!!!

I also promise to write at least once from Toronto but in the meantime...another topic I considered was..Lets Visit The Airport...so this is where I will be first thing tomorrow morning... the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport...
